    Description

This auction consists of vintage B&W photographs showing a Fire Prevention Parade in Dayton Ohio in 1949. THESE ARE NOT REPRODUCTIONS. These are old & original 4x5 photo's from a large collection that have been featured on a few web sites about vintage fire fighting apparatus and equipment.
From the dates on the license plates this parade was held in 1949 and proceeded down Main St. in Dayton too the Montgomery County Fairgrounds where they held
fire fighting and life saving demonstrations. Though it was held in the evening hours, a
number of Dayton landmarks can be seen in the photo's including Memorial Hall, Lowes Theatre, the old Sears building and many more. Most of the Fire Departments from Montgomery County entered trucks or vehicles in the parade.
