Eknath Shinde says PM will have last word. Decks cleared for Devendra Fadnavis?

Shiv Sena chief Eknath Shinde on Wednesday said that he has left the decision to decide the next Maharashtra Chief Minister to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP leadership. “I have told PM Modi that I would not be an obstacle. We will go with whatever he decides,” Shinde said while addressing a press conference in Thane.
After Shinde’s indication to accept the BJP high command’s decision about the Maharashtra government, sources told India Today TV that the chances of Devendra Fadnavis to become the new Chief Minister is almost clear. Sources also told news agency PTI that the two deputy chief ministers formulae representing the three major Mahayuti constituents will be followed in the new government in the state.
The leaders of Mahayuti have been summoned to Delhi for a meeting with the BJP leadership to break the deadlock. Despite the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance securing a massive victory, winning 230 seats in the 288-member Assembly, the uncertainty over who will occupy the top post has raged on.
